Knebworth's fair is confirmed for 27 to 29 November with prices. The town centre market and the Winter Wonderland have no 2026 dates yet. What we checked.

Three different things get called “the Stevenage Christmas market”, and on 5 September 2026 only one of them has published a 2026 date. Here is where each stands, checked this week.

1. Knebworth Christmas Fair: confirmed, with prices

The only one you can book today.

  • Friday 27 to Sunday 29 November 2026
  • Knebworth Park, Stevenage, SG1 2AX, in the Barns and the undercover marquees
  • Doors 10am to 4pm
  • Parking free. Dogs not permitted. Sat nav SG1 2AX, with AA signage on the days

Ticket prices, from the organiser:

Ticket Price
Standard adult (16+), day-specific time slot £10.50
Standard concession (60+) £10.00
Standard child (5 to 15) £5.00
Under 5s Free
Premium, any one day, entry from 9.30am £13.50
Premium Plus, all three days, entry from 9.30am £16.50

A £1.65 booking fee applies per order, once, not per ticket. Tickets on the gate are subject to availability, and the organiser says Premium and Premium Plus are limited. Premium tickets are valid for any one day and cannot be reused; Premium Plus can be reused across all three days by the same ticket holder. (Knebworth Christmas Fair, info and tickets and show info)

One geography note. The SG1 postcode makes this look like a Stevenage borough event. Knebworth Park sits just outside the borough boundary in North Hertfordshire, a couple of miles south of the town centre. It is the nearest big Christmas shopping fair to Stevenage, which is why it belongs on this page, but it is not a council event.

2. The town centre Christmas market: no 2026 dates yet

Stevenage Borough Council runs a festive food and gift market across the town centre each year. Nothing has been published for 2026. The council’s town centre events page carried only “We’ll keep you posted!” when we checked on 5 September 2026. (Stevenage Town Centre, events)

For 2025 the market ran Saturday 15 November to Wednesday 31 December, in the town centre, SG1 1PF, with bratwurst, Yorkshire pudding wraps, churros, waffles, burgers and cheese stalls among the traders. (Stevenage Town Centre, Stevenage Christmas Food Market)

The likely shape for 2026 is that the market opens on or just before the town centre Christmas lights switch-on, Saturday 21 November, which is the date the council has already confirmed in its Spring 2026 Chronicle. That is an inference from last year’s pattern, not an announcement. Our Stevenage Christmas lights switch-on page carries the confirmed switch-on dates.

3. Stevenage Winter Wonderland: unclear, and worth watching

The ice rink, funfair and market at Stevenage Leisure Park is run by Mannings Fairview Company Ltd of Cheshunt, not by the council. Its position on 5 September 2026 is odd:

  • The operator’s own website, stevenagewinterwonderland.co.uk, returns a Squarespace “website expired” page
  • Its ticket portal is still live at stevenagewinterwonderland.digitickets.co.uk, listing ice skating at £15 adult, £11 child (4 to 16), £49 family of four and £13 group adult, each plus a 60p booking fee, plus a £2 per person entrance fee paid on site
  • No 2026 dates have been announced anywhere. The 2025 season ran 21 November 2025 to 4 January 2026, closed on Christmas Day

Carers go free on production of a Carers Card UK or National Carers Card, and cannot be booked in advance, but the operator says spaces are guaranteed on the day. Under 4s are not allowed on the ice. (Stevenage Winter Wonderland ticket portal)

An expired main site is not the same as a cancelled event, and a live ticket portal is a reasonable sign it is coming back. But do not book travel or a party around it until dates appear.

4. Stevenage Indoor Market, which is open all year

Worth knowing if what you actually want is stalls rather than an event. The indoor market reopened in its new home at Boston House, Park Place on Saturday 6 December 2025 after relocating from the old St George’s Way site. (Stevenage Borough Council, “Stevenage set to shine”, 12 November 2025)

Parking and getting in

Everything except Knebworth is in the pedestrian town centre, so it is the council car parks, now on pay-by-plate: rates, locations and how the new system works are on our parking in Stevenage page. For Knebworth, parking is free on site. Anything shut on the roads in between is tracked on our Stevenage roadworks and travel page, and the A1(M) junction 7 to 8 40mph scheme runs through the whole festive period.

What we will update, and when
